AS MANAGING DIRECTOR, THOMAS L. WATTERS is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Firm. Mr. Watters chairs the Litigation Group and his practice involves complex and sophisticated real estate, business, corporate, estate planning, probate, wills, trusts, and insurance matters and litigation, including attorney-client fee disputes and malpractice. Mr. Watters earned his B.S. in the Industrial Engineering Honors Program at Purdue University (1969) and received his J.D. from Chase College of Law (1975). He is a member of the Order of Curia. He holds memberships in the Santa Monica Bar Association (Board of Trustees, 1989-1992), Los Angeles Bar Association, the State Bar of California, the Ohio Bar Association, the American Bar Association and is a past-President of the West Los Angeles-Brentwood Rotary Club. His interest and expertise in business and industry is reflected in his former memberships in the CEO Club, the Machinery and Allied Products Institute’s Products Liability Council and the Reinsurance Association of America.

Mr. Watters has represented property owners, buyers, landlords, and tenants in a variety of disputes involving purchase agreements, leases, easements, parking covenants, construction issues, and other real estate disputes.
In business matters, Mr. Watters has represented small business owners, employees, corporations, limited liability corporations, limited partnerships, and partnerships in contractual disputes, sexual harassment and discrimination claims, shareholder disputes, breach of fiduciary cases, closely held corporation disputes among shareholders, insurance disputes, and other business related disputes.
Personal injury cases include automobile accidents, motorcycle accidents, and slip and fall.
Trustees, beneficiaries, executors, and heirs have been represented by Mr. Watters in probate proceedings, including will and trust contests, forged wills, heir and beneficiary disputes, accounting disputes, surcharge issues, fee disputes, and other issues involving trusts and estates.
Mr. Watters practice has included representing clients in disputes from San Diego to San Francisco and from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City. Trials and appellate proceedings have been handled by him in the Superior Court, the California Appellate Courts, the California Supreme Court, the United States District Courts, and the United States Courts of Appeals.
